Twin Cities Community Preschool, a well-established cooperative preschool in Corte Madera, CA, is now accepting applications for a number of positions involving care for children ages 2.9 - 5 years.

Positions

We are no longer seeking to fill the following positions:

Position 1: Lead Teacher

We do not have an immediate opening for a Teacher / Lead Teacher (permanent, part-time).

  • School year schedule – 23-25 hours/week.

  • This role will also support TCCP’s annual summer camp program.

You are a teacher who can:

  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.

  • Develop an emergent curriculum to inspire curiosity and discovery in children aged 2 years 9 months to 5 years.

  • Design and lead activities that engage children in meaningful learning experiences.

  • Guide and support children through their daily routine and transitions.

  • Partner with parents to guide them as teachers and in understanding children’s development.

  • Work cooperatively with co-teachers and promote effective, harmonious communication in all aspects of the center’s operation.

  • Bring a positive attitude, creativity, flexibility, and proactivity.

  • Nurture and strengthen the spirit of our cooperative program.

  • Demonstrate professional conduct at work.

Requirements

  • Must love kids!

  • 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units or ability to complete required units with support from the school.

  • First Aid and CPR certificate or ability to complete with support from the school.

  • Health clearance including a negative T.B. test result and proof of full Covid-19 vaccination.

  • Background check and fingerprint clearance to meet State Licensing requirements.

Salary and Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on your education and experience.

  • Signing bonus.

  • Full pay through public holidays and school closures, including unexpected closures due to wildfires, Covid-19, etc.

  • Tuition reimbursement for qualified ECE units.

  • Training with Kaymbu technology for daily/weekly photo/video documentation and communication, as well as other tools such as Google Drive, Google Photos, etc.

Position 2: Assistant Teacher

We do not have an immediate opening for an assistant teacher.

Hours: Monday - Friday 12:00-3:30. Summer hours will also be available.

You are an assistant teacher who can:

  • Be a kind, caring guide to support young children’s play.

  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment..

  • Design and support the lead teacher with creative play based activities.

  • Guide and support children through their daily routine and transitions.

  • Work cooperatively with the lead teacher and promote effective, harmonious communication in all aspects of the center’s operation.

  • Support the organization of school materials and assist with afternoon cleaning.

  • Demonstrate professional conduct at work.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six Early Childhood Education (ECE) units and we will assist with education goals.

  • First Aid and CPR certificate or ability to complete with support from the school.

  • Health clearance including a negative T.B. test result and proof of full Covid-19 vaccination.

  • Background check and fingerprint clearance to meet State Licensing requirements.
