Community Connections

We're committed to fostering community to enhance parent education and support child development. We cultivate a strong community involvement through partnerships with local resources like our reading buddy program with Neil Cummins's second graders. Our parent education classes receive support from experts, including parenting coaches and psychologists.

Furthermore, our classrooms benefit from the expertise of child development specialists in speech and occupational therapy.  We partner with engaging child educators such as SaveNature.org, The Marin Humane Society, and Marin Wildcare. We also have visits from community members, like firefighters, dentists, and librarians. Together, we create a nurturing learning environment where collaboration and community engagement thrive.

California Council of Parent Participation Preschools (CCPPNS)

TCCP is one of six parent-participation preschools in Marin.  Throughout California, parent-participation preschools comprise the California Council of Parent Participation Preschools (CCPPNS). As an advisory council to parent participation schools, they offer this checklist to help schools align to the CCPPNS philosophy and policies influenced by California employment law, Child Care Licensing, non-profit governance, insurance, and best practices in early childhood education.
